Use a teleprompter that responds to your spoken pace.

A fixed scroll speed can move ahead while you pause to think. Sopro's Voice mode follows recognized speech and adjusts the reading pace, while Auto and Manual remain separate choices.

Choose the script's spoken language

Set English or Brazilian Portuguese in the script editor. Sopro checks device and language support before voice following starts. Apple speech models run on the device, but a model download may be needed before the first session.

Read the script aloud during setup to check the behavior in your recording environment. Voice recognition can be affected by the speaker and surrounding sound; the app does not promise perfect tracking for every accent, microphone or room.

Understand pauses and microphone interruptions

Voice mode waits for speech, holds the text during silence and resumes as you speak. It adjusts the pace based on recognized words; the text remains plain rather than highlighting each spoken word.

Microphone access is required. If another app interrupts it, Voice pauses and the reading position is preserved; it does not silently change to Auto. Stop the competing recording, return to Sopro and explicitly retry. Floating mode is experimental and does not establish compatibility with every recorder. The public app release is pending review.

Before you finish

  • Choose the correct spoken language for the script.
  • Check device support and complete any model download.
  • Rehearse in the actual sound environment before the take.

Questions before you start

Does Voice require a server account?

Sopro has no account or application server. Speech analysis runs on the device, with Apple model availability requirements.

Can I choose a fixed speed instead?

Yes. Auto uses the selected reading speed. Manual is available in the regular reader.
