Read your script while recording a video on iPhone.

A prepared script can help you keep a take on track without memorizing the whole passage. Sopro puts the reader and an in-app recorder in the same workflow, so you can prepare, read and review.

Set up the reader before the take

Write or import the script, then adjust the text size, reading speed and countdown. Rehearse the opening to check that the text is readable at the distance where you will record.

Choose Auto for a fixed pace, Voice for speech-following on a compatible device, or Manual for hand scrolling in the regular reader. Voice needs an available microphone and may require an on-device language-model download before use.

Record in Sopro, then watch the result

Open the front camera for a video-and-audio take, or record audio without the camera. Stop to save the take, then use playback to review it. Share the saved file when you want to edit or publish elsewhere.

Sopro's recorder and external-app floating mode are separate setups. Floating mode is experimental; another recording app can interrupt microphone access. This page describes the app submitted for App Store review, and public availability is still pending.

Before you finish

  • Rehearse the opening at your chosen text size.
  • Check the reader mode and countdown before recording.
  • Review the saved take and export files you want to keep.

Questions before you start

Can I download Sopro today?

The public release is awaiting App Store review. No public download is offered on this page.

Will it work with every social-video recorder?

Compatibility varies. Another app can take the microphone, and floating mode remains experimental.
