Bring your PDF or text script into the teleprompter.
Your script may start in a document editor before it reaches the camera. Sopro accepts several text-based formats so you can prepare the words elsewhere, then adjust them for reading in the app.
Check the file before importing
Use a UTF-8 TXT file, an RTF document or a PDF that contains selectable text. Supported import files are up to 5 MB. A scan saved as a PDF is still an image if its words cannot be selected.
Sopro does not perform OCR on image-only documents. If your source is a scan, obtain a text version before importing. Inspect the imported words and paragraph flow in the editor, especially when the source document uses a complicated layout.
Prepare the text for a spoken take
Edit the imported script in Sopro and choose its spoken language. Adjust text size, reading speed and countdown, then rehearse a passage before opening the camera. Mirroring is available in Reading settings.
The script and saved takes remain in the app's local library. Export material you want to keep separately; deleting the app deletes its local files and Sopro has no cloud-backup service. The public version described here is awaiting App Store review.
Before you finish
- Use a supported file under the 5 MB import limit.
- Confirm that a PDF contains selectable words.
- Review the imported text and rehearse before recording.
Questions before you start
Can I import an image-only PDF?
