Get a clear artwork approval for each Shopify order item.
When a custom order has several attachments and email replies, a short approval can be hard to interpret. Build a review step around the exact files the customer sees and the order item they belong to.
Give every proof a clear home
Choose the Shopify order item, upload the image or PDF and send the private review link. Keep the artwork and customer response in that review flow so the approval has a defined object.
A customer can review on their phone without creating an account. Ask them to check the parts of the design that matter before deciding, such as the supplied text, layout or selected artwork. ProofTable collects the decision; it does not edit or validate the design.
Treat a revision as a new version
If the customer requests a change, prepare the revision in your design tool and send the updated proof. Keep the earlier comments with their version so an old approval cannot be mistaken for a decision about a newer file.
Once the relevant item is approved, use the production queue and download the approved artwork with its approval record. Keep customer approval separate from your internal production checks and any required checks on the physical product.
Before you finish
- Attach the proof to the correct order item.
- Send a revised version after a change request.
- Hand production the approved files and their matching record.
Questions before you start
Does silence count as approval?
No. The workflow depends on an explicit customer decision, not the absence of a reply.
Can the customer request changes?
Yes. The private review flow supports approval or a change request, with feedback kept by version.
