Take GPS photos and build site reports on iPhone.
Capture the location, date and time while you take the photo. Fieldnote keeps your site photos and notes in projects, ready for a client report when the visit is done.
Available on the App Store

What you can do with Fieldnote
- Record the place at capture
- See GPS accuracy before taking a photo. Fieldnote saves a fresh location reading and capture time; altitude and compass bearing are included when the device provides them.
- Keep the original, share a stamped copy
- Your local library retains the original. Export a readable location stamp or an original JPEG with GPS metadata, according to the recipient's needs.
- Return to the same viewpoint
- Use an earlier photo as a translucent framing guide. Compare before and after while preserving each photo's own capture details.
- Build the report from the project
- Add notes, a business name and logo, client and report title. Export a PDF, stamped photos or a CSV spreadsheet. Optional private iCloud backup and archive exports help you keep a separate copy.
From first step to finished task
English and Brazilian Portuguese. Photos stay on your device until you choose to share or back them up. Optional usage sharing starts off.
- Create a project and check the GPS accuracy before each photo.
- Add notes during the visit and pair before-and-after photos when needed.
- Select the project or photos and export a report or image files for your client.
Questions before you start
Does Fieldnote work offline?
Camera capture and the local library work without internet, but GPS reception is still required. Map tiles need a connection. iCloud backup uploads need connectivity and run while the app is open.
Are GPS photos certified evidence?
No. Device readings provide context, not certified or tamper-proof evidence. Check the requirements of anyone receiving the report.
Is there a subscription?
The public listing offers the complete app as one purchase. Check your App Store for the current local price. There are no team accounts or video capture.
